# Create a new project

There are several options for the creation of a new project. To see them:&#x20;

1\. Select the video you wish to subtitle in the list **Video**.&#x20;

2\. Open the tab **Projet / New** to see the different options.

### Create from a blank file or **Empty project**.&#x20;

This option allows you to progressively add blank blocks.&#x20;

1\. Click on the first block in the list to write the text and manually synchronize the start and end times of the subtitle.

2\. Insert a new block and repeat the process.

> **Note:** \
> Remember to first select the video you wish to subtitle and then the option **(Projet / New)**.

### **Create from file (TXT, SRT, VTT)**.&#x20;

The option Create from file, allows you to select an existing file (three formats supported : [TXT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier_texte), [SRT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/SubRip), [VTT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebVTT)) and to modify it. To do this:&#x20;

1\. Select the file.

2\. Import the file.

> **Note:**&#x20;
>
> * Remember that you must first select the video you wish to subtitle and then the option **(Projet / New)**.<br>
> * If you experience any incompatibility problems when importing a TXT file, select the UTF-8 character encoding in your text processor and reimport the file.

### **Create from file (MP3)**.

This option allows you to transcribe an audio file. To do so:&#x20;

1\. Select the MP3 file.

2\. Choose the **Source Language**.&#x20;

3\. Import the file.

### **Create from YouTube**.&#x20;

This option allows you to subtitle a video directly from the platform YouTube. To do so:&#x20;

1\. Enter the URL.&#x20;

2\. Enter the project title.

3\. Select the **Source Language**.\

4\. Import the document.
