# Export and publication options

Miro Translate offers several options to export o to publish a subtitling project.

### Export options

To see the different export options:

&#x20;1\. Click on **Project / Export**.

2\. Select the file format. There are four options available:

* Subtitles formats [SRT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/SubRip) or [WebVTT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebVTT).

> **Note:** \
> if you have used colours or special characters in your subtitles, it is recommended to export your project in [WebVTT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebVTT) format.

* Texts formats [PDF ](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Document_Format)or [TXT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier_texte)

> **Note:**\
> Both formats allow viewers to read the video content in text format. If you wish to edit the document, choose [TXT](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier_texte) format.

3\. Click on **Export**. The file will be saved in the Downloads folder in your computer.

### Publication options

There are two possibilities to publish a finished project. To see them, click on **Project / Publish web** or **Publish MKV**.

When choosing **Publish web** you will obtain a URL to the video with the subtitles and the audiosubtitles. This is an easy and fast way to share an audiovisual document. To obtain the URL for your project, follow these steps:

&#x20;1\. Select **Main publication**if it is the first time you publish the project or **Publish in an existing project** if you wish to add a subtitle or audiosubtitle track in a different language to an existing publication.

2\. Enter the project title.

3\. Select the language.

4\. Activate the audiosubtitles and choose the voice according to the language and the gender of the speaker.

> **Note:** \
> this process may take several minutes depending on the file size. Do not close the page, otherwise the process will stop. If you wish to do another activity in the meantime, minimize Miro Translate.

5\. Once the publication process has been completed, you will find the web address at the top of the window and in **Project / Properties / Infos / Web Link**. Click on the link to see the video.

6\. Activate the subtitles by clicking on the button at the bottom right of the video.

7\. Activate the audiosubtitles by clicking on the **Play** button at the bottom of the screen.

> **Note:** \
> if you have made several publications in different languages for the same project, you will see several audiosubtitles bars. Each language is identified by the corresponding flag.

The **Publish MKV** option allows you to obtain a video file with the subtitle and audiosubtitle tracks integrated. It is an interesting possibility to display an audiovisual document without internet connection.&#x20;

Follow these steps to create an MKV publication:

&#x20;1\. Select **Main publication** if it is the first time you publish the project or **Publish in an existing project** if you wish to add a subtitle or audiosubtitle track in a different language to an existing publication.&#x20;

2\. Enter the project title.

3\. Select the language.

4\. Click on **Publish**.
